Message from the President of ThaiBME

It is my great honor and pleasure to welcome all participants to the 18th Biomedical Engineering International Conference (BMEiCON 2026), to be held from October 10–13, 2026, in Fukuoka, Japan.

Over the years, BMEiCON has grown into an important international platform for researchers, engineers, healthcare professionals, educators, and students to share knowledge and explore new developments in biomedical engineering. This year, we are delighted to return to Fukuoka and to continue our close collaboration with our Japanese and international partners.

Biomedical engineering plays an increasingly important role in addressing the challenges of modern healthcare. Rapid advances in medical technologies, artificial intelligence, biomedical instrumentation, medical imaging, rehabilitation engineering, biosensors, digital health, and other emerging fields are creating new opportunities to improve healthcare and quality of life. At the same time, these developments remind us of the importance of bringing together expertise from engineering, medicine, science, and technology.

The Thai Society of Biomedical Engineering (ThaiBME) is committed to advancing biomedical engineering through research, education, professional development, and international cooperation. BMEiCON represents an important part of this mission by providing a forum where new research can be presented, ideas can be openly exchanged, and collaborations can be established across institutions, disciplines, and national boundaries.

On behalf of ThaiBME, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our co-organizers and collaborating organizations, as well as the General Chair, Technical Program Committee, organizing committee, reviewers, keynote speakers, session chairs, authors, and volunteers. Their dedication and collective efforts have made BMEiCON 2026 possible.

Most importantly, I would like to thank all participants for joining us. Your contributions, discussions, and exchange of ideas are what give this conference its true value. I hope BMEiCON 2026 will not only provide opportunities to learn about the latest advances in biomedical engineering but also inspire new ideas, strengthen existing partnerships, and create new friendships and collaborations for the future.

I wish everyone a successful and rewarding conference and hope that you will also enjoy the culture, hospitality, and memorable experiences that Fukuoka has to offer.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to BMEiCON 2026.

Warm regards,

Somkiat Watanasirichaigoon
