Message from the General Chair
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 18th Biomedical Engineering International Conference (BMEiCON 2026), taking place from October 10–13, 2026, in Fukuoka, Japan.
I am particularly delighted to welcome the BMEiCON community back to Fukuoka. Bringing this international conference to Japan once again provides a valuable opportunity to strengthen the long-standing academic cooperation between Thailand and Japan while expanding connections with researchers and institutions from across the world.
BMEiCON has established itself as an important international forum for researchers, engineers, healthcare professionals, educators, and students to present their latest work and exchange perspectives on advances in biomedical engineering. The interdisciplinary nature of our field makes such interaction especially important, as many of today's healthcare challenges require collaboration across engineering, medicine, biological sciences, information technology, and related disciplines.
This year's conference offers a comprehensive technical program covering a broad range of biomedical engineering topics. In addition to the technical sessions, we are honored to welcome our distinguished invited speakers:
Associate Professor Somyot Kaitwanidvilai
Dean, School of Engineering
King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand
Professor Nobuhiko Kojima
Graduate School of Nanobioscience
Yokohama City University, Japan
Professor Kuo-Yung Hung
Department of Mechanical Engineering
Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan
Yoshihiro Tange
Department of Advanced Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine
Oita University, Japan
Manuel H. Luque Casanave
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, Lima, Peru
Their participation brings valuable expertise and diverse perspectives to BMEiCON 2026, and I am confident that their presentations will stimulate new ideas and meaningful discussions among our participants.
Organizing an international conference of this scale requires the commitment and cooperation of many people. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the organizing committee, Technical Program Committee, reviewers, session chairs, and support staff for their tremendous efforts in preparing the conference. I also extend my appreciation to our collaborating organizations and institutions for their continued support of BMEiCON.
Above all, I would like to thank our authors and participants. Your research contributions, active participation, and willingness to exchange ideas are at the heart of this conference. I encourage everyone to take full advantage of the technical sessions and networking opportunities to meet colleagues, establish new partnerships, and explore possibilities for future collaboration.
I hope that BMEiCON 2026 will be both professionally rewarding and personally memorable. While you are here, I also encourage you to experience Fukuoka—a welcoming city that combines modern innovation with rich culture, excellent cuisine, and warm hospitality.
On behalf of the organizing committee, I warmly welcome you to BMEiCON 2026 in Fukuoka and wish you a productive, enjoyable, and successful conference.
Warm regards,
Prof. Tadayuki Akagi
